   TESS of the D` Urbervilles accepts a job as a Milkmaid at the Talbothays Dairy. There she meets ALEC. He is LASCIVOUS. He doesn`t afraid to seduce her. But after a while TESS stabs her LOVER. DETACHED CONSTRUCTIONS - They seem to dangle as isolated parts far away from the ANTECEDENT . Example:

They produce the desired effect . Logical ties. Written Language is AKIN to the Spoken Language !! It bridges the norms of written and Spoken Language. Close to the Inversion. But DC produces a much stronger effect !! –

“The MOON rising - Gold behind the Clouds !!”

They look like a Simile or a Metaphor. Syntactical Peculiarities of Colloquial Language !!!

POEM - The SECRET TALK !!!

I have a friend and sometimes we meet

And greet each other without a word !!

We talk through a field and stalk a bird

And chew a blade of pungent grass.

We let times pass for a golden hour

While we twirl a flower of Queen Ann` s lace

Or find a lion` s face shaped in a cloud

That` s drifting, sifting across the sky.

There` s no need to say, “It` s been a fine day”

When we say Goodbye; When we say Goodbye !!

We just wave a hand and we understand !!!

УРОК - 36 - The KISSING SCENE !!!

THEME: = It is not easy to become a film star !!!

The Kissing Scene !!!

Acting Jennie and Her Mother !!

J. - Mum, I don`t want to become an actress any more !!

M. - What made you change your mind, Jennie ??

J. - They were shooting a film in the park yesterday.

M. - SO ??

J. - Let me start at the very beginning. We were playing table - tennis with Peter in front of the small stadium, when a car and a mini-bus stopped by. A dozen people got out and started looking around. I was so curious that most of the time I was playing with a head turned back. And whenever I looked back they were pointing in different directions and arguing. Then they took out a lot of equipment, cameras and all and we realized that they were going to shoot a film. The man who was giving orders turned out to be the film – director. And the two men who were arguing were the cameraman and his assistant. Anyway, they started shooting and we stopped playing to watch. … The leading lady was sitting gracefully on a bench, reading a book. The leading man was coming energetically down the lane. When she heard his footsteps, she raised her head, dropped the book and ran up to him. He embraced her and was just to kiss her when that crazy director shouted “CUT !!”

M. - Well, sometimes they do the same scene two or three times.

J. - Two or three times ?? - Mum, they repeated it over and over again. It was so boring !! As a matter of fact, we stopped watching and went to the amusement park for a change .Half an hour later, on our way back we passed by the same place. And you know what ?? - They were still shooting the same scene !! - How could I forget them ? - She was sitting stiff on the same bench, and he was limping down the same alley !! - Come to think of it, they never reached the Kissing Scene !!!!

In the THEATRE !!

Characters: - 1. WIFE; 2. HUSBAND; 3. MAN.
The Husband and Wife are asleep in bed. Suddenly, the Wife wakes up.
- Darling. Darling! Darling !!!
- Wnat`s the matter ?
- I can hear a noise.
- Oh, go back to sleep. (The Wife turns on the light.)
- Darling, there is a man in the room.

- Oh, don`t be ridiculous !!
- I am not being ridiculous !! There is a man in the room ?? ( to the Man) - Who are you ??
- My name is Fred Jones.
- Darling, his name is Fred Jones.
- Yes, Darling.
- What are you doing ??
- I am reading the gas meter.
- You are reading the gas meter ??
- Yes.
- Darling, he is reading the gas meter.
- Yes, dear, he is reading the gas meter.
- (to the man) - Do you know what the time is ??   It is half last three !
- Half past three ?? Oh, it is time for my cup of tea !! ( He has a cup of tea !!)
- Darling, he is having a cup of tea !!
- Who is having a cup of tea ??
- Fred Jones !!
- Hmm ...
- Oh, it doesn`t matter !! ( she lies down)
    ( the husband sits up)
- Darling !! There is a man in the room !!!

УРОК - 33. За НАПРЕДНАЛИ: Замърсяването на Околната Среда - ПРОЕКТ !!!

THEME: POLLUTION !! - ENVIRONMENT !!

TASK: - Writing PROJECT.

TOPIC: - HOW MUCH POLLUTION IS THERE IN YOUR TOWN ???

My PROJECT: - HOW MUCH POLLUTION IS THERE IN OUR TOWN G. Written by: MONICA JOAN DINK.

7 grade. ( 14 – year – old )

POLLUTION in our town comes from EPS / Electric Power Station/. EPS pollutes the air by evolution of Peroxide of Nitrogen N O-2 and Sulphur of Sulphogen S O-2. Because of this reason the people here ( in our town ) very often be taken gravely ill of Pulmonary illness. Because of this fact that in the nearness of our town there are two EPS, as we think, it is one of the most polluted towns in the World. This region is very dangerous because here it is very easy you can get any illness of CANCER.

ACID RAIN - How does it form and What does it make ??

POISONOUS GASES come from the Electric Power Station. These gases mix with water vapour in the air. The water vapour becomes clouds. And then ACID RAIN falls on the Plants, Animals, Forests, Rivers and Lakes. Also on SEAS and OCEANS. Acid Rain destroys Plants, Rivers and Lakes. It comes from Sulphur in the Coal and Oil. When they burn they make Sulphur Dioxide - S O -2. It mixes with water in the air and becomes sulphuric acid - H-2 S O-4. It polluted soil and water. In that way our river is polluted, too!! And there are not much fish there in the river.

BLACK LAKE - In our town there is Land Fills. It is named Black Lake. There they get together every sloot. Sometimes, when the wind blows, this dust rises over the town and the air becomes black. Black Lake is very dangerous for our town and for people who live there. /The year was 1999./

PINK WELL LAKE - In our town there is also another lake. It is artificial and its name is “ PINK WELL”. Before there had been a village, named PINK WELL. There had been many houses and people, living there. BUT because of the reason that EPS needed for Lake, instead of Cooling Tower, people were moved from the village. In that way they build Lake “ PINK WELL”. The Good News is that there is much fish there. Now many people can hunt fish there !!!

The FACTORY - Near our town there is a Factory for COAL. It is the main polluter, because of the slot. This emission pollutes our town, too. The polluted air can cause CANCER.

HOW TO SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS - MY IDEAS !!!

The problems with Environment are very dangerous and very serious. Not only for our Future but also and Today !!! The GOOD NEWS is that WE CAN DO SOMEHING JUST NOW !!!!! We can use the wind, the sun, and even the sea to make Electricity. We can use electric cars, buses and motorbikes. Also we can use Nuclear Power to make Electricity. We can use rubbish, we can recycle them and in that way we can save many trees and forests !!! !!! !!!

- This is an IDEA of a girl about Pollution in their town. NOW it is Your Turn. - GIVE your own Idea for Saving our Earth and Environment from POLLUTION. - Keep the RULES for Writing PROJECT !!! - GOOD LUCK !!! !!! !!!
